Does anyone here use a gaming mouse as a default mouse?

I just bought a logitech MX 518 to replace my old mouse and not only for gaming, what are your views on this? do you guys use two seperate mice one for gaming and the other for everyday use or do you use just the gaming mouse for all purposes?

I think that most people will use their gaming mouse for non-gaming tasks. I know that I used to when I had my G7.

I used to when I had my Razor whatever-it-was... and my G7... after going through a few expensive mice (wireless lazer, etc.) I discovered they weren't worth it at all, and am quite happy with the $5 corded Dynex from Best Buy I'm using right now, lol.

If someone answers no to question, they might be the non-laziest person on the planet. I don't know anyone that has 2 mice.

Yes, and i love it. The extra buttons are great for normal web navigation. Whenever i go to the library i will sit there rubbing the side of the mouse with my thumb for a little bit before realizing this mouse doesn't have side buttons.

Why would you bother plugging in a 'non-gaming' mouse, for when you're not gaming?

Had a MS wireless 7000 laser mouse (from the desktop wireless laser 7000KB/mouse combo) , that is the most comfortable mouse I've ever had in my hand but for gaming that mouse dont cut it, replaced it with a sidewinder, but if the scroll wheel wasnt -partly- broken on the old mouse I would probably use it for nongaming tasks.

I use my G500 for everything that I would use a conventional mouse for. Ergonomic for a right-hand palm grip (it's another MX500 deriative, after all), plenty of buttons, and being able to toggle off the detents on the scroll wheel for scrolling through long pages is rather nice.

I use gaming mouse for everything. I don't use the most expensive one on my laptop, but still I can't go back to normal mouse anymore. I just don't like them anymore. Price is about the same anyway for a good default mouse than a cheap gaming mouse.

I used to use a Razer Lachesis, Logitech G7 and Logitech G5, now I'm using an Asus R.O.G made by Razer that came with my laptop.

That's just a ridiculous amount of effort to change mice when I'm not playing games. One mouse for all PC activity for me.

Usb mouse = can plug as many as desired :P Similiar reason why I have two keyboards plugged (one for gaming, and other for late @ night [b.c mech k/b is noisey])

Im not sure why would anyone do that, but than again those gaming mouses are made kind of flimsy with my g7 dead from bad batteries to razer copperhead's paint peeling, so I guess that makes sense. Another reason is for sniping and regular use, etc.

My gaming mouse does all. I could understand people switching to a wireless keyboard/mouse setup for a casual Sunday though (without gaming).
