Unreal Tournament 3 had a story mode which was offline matches with cutscenes. And the last three Battlefield have throwaway single player's with no signs of improving. So does every fps need a single player mode in a multiplayer driven series? I love single player games and I preferred them to multiplayer games. But a call for games such as titanfall needing one is absurd. If Respawn had the resources like they did before they broke off with Activision, they might have created a decent single player. Maybe they could create modes with kaiju’s or mechs that turn into tanks or jets. There are enough fps(or just first person) that are single player only, like DXHR,Fallout or Dishonored. And there are other genre's who still don't have a single player, such as most fighting games for example.
