Does it really help to end your user name processes running in task mgr. before playing a game? I'm talking about a med. -high system. It just seems like such a pain in the ass to go thru this if you have 10-12 processes under your user name! Would you notice a difference at all?

Any suggestions, please?

It can definitely help, some processes will use large amounts of ram and others will even use processor capacity at given intervals. This will mostly be a problem if you barely meet the requirements. If you have no slow downs or lag with them on, then no need to bother. I always prevent them from starting up btw, I typically have less then 20 processes running after booting. I must admit it can be an even bigger pain to find the process and disabling it but you only need to do it once :)

Oh, and my suggestion would be to post these kinds of questions in the hardware forum next time ;)

Well it would definetly make some kind of difference, especially with older PC's.

Depends what the processes are, and it might not be worth it if your performance is already good. It definitely helps benchmarks though. :)
