Does Mad Catz 360 Controller work on Beat Hazard, Trine, Or any 360pad only game

My cousin just purchased a Mad Catz 360 Control Pad. From what I hear it regesters as a Microsoft 360 Controller (Mad Catz) and works on games yet I do know Trine, Beat Hazard and the like do notgive the ability to map controls to the average PC control.

So Does Mad Catz 360 Control Pad work on Trine, Beat Hazard or other Microsoft 360 Control specific games?
