Yes , and it matter alot.

The best is to get the most known/recommemded (and best reviewed) PSU's.

stay with brands like Antec, FSP group, OCZ, seasonic, silverstone, corsair, thermaltake, tagan, or PC power and cooling

stay far away from brands like dynapower USA, Ultra, and Rosewill

some of ultra's PSU's are better than the guys on that top list. :) just throwing that out there. brands are a good starting point, but it's better to research the specific PSU you're looking at buying.

Im from Asia, and i think its different here. I asked my bf to check some PSU at the store, he said the brands are i-Logic, Emerson, Sunstar and APC, others are 2 expensive 4 me. going to $100 up is 2 much for now.

Most people would probably disagree with this, but what I do is I just look for something usually around $20 or $30 that has good weight, dual fans and a strong +12v, never had any problems.

I looked at their PSUs on tigerdirect, they're terriblemig_killer2
look at the x-pro EE's. they're good, iirc.
