Never played it before, and none of the stores had it, so now its free, I wanted to ask if the game had better graphics than Half Life 2??

No, but the Free Roam is worth the sacrifice.

I think the graphics in Far Cry are a lot better then those in Hl2.

Comparable, but I would say HL2 have better graphics due to the improvements made to the source engine.

Well if it looks as good as Half Life 2 Lost Coast I will be a very happy camper.

Its fun, but the ads get QUITE annoying (they only have one sponser so its the same ad over, and over). You can turn on fraps (gets rid of ads somehow), but you run the chance of having the game crash at a critical point. Graphics do appear to be better than HL2 at least with several mods.
