[QUOTE="Makari"][QUOTE="wackys"]I had high hopes of DA:O destroying the downward spiral that bioware slumped in since Jade Empire but seems I was waaaaaay off.Color me dissapointed.I officially heavily dislike Bioware now.lettuceman44
i seriously agree with cenerune.. what is it you're so disappointed about?

People wanting to be different/cool and try to seem smart/elite. Like all those rebels. *looks at someone saying it looks bad* "Oh yea, DA: O is a bad game." *feels smart*

Says the man with the Zero Punctuation signiture

I am disappointed because the game seems so simplistic, from the 6 races/origins,to the simplistic combat system,to the 3 classes the game has.I had high hopes back in 2007/2008 when info was scarce, that this game could be another epic RPG ala Baldur's Gate or more recently Neverwinter Nights 2.The only thing this game has got going for it is the story which should be great.I expected deep gameplay,I will get none of that.

I guess I should accepct the fact that that might never come, although I still hope that the eventual Neverwinter Nights 3 brings that back.

Part of me realizes that it is such a suicidal PR move saying a game is a spiritual successor to some of the games that these devs have claimed they're copying; Fallouts, System Shocks and now Baldur's Gates but another part knows that people blow those words way too far out of proportion. Did you honestly think BioWare was going to be able to craft a whole universe and RPG rule system that had the same depth of 30 years of D&D in the 4-5 years they've been working on the game? I see that spiritual successor BS as just another word for blueprint. They're making a game that is going to follow that formula close but it's never going to work out 100% like many people think it is.
