Hi

I've recently installed w7, it's stable and easy to use, but a tiny selection of games keeps freezing. these freezes is forcing me to do a hard reset

games like crysis, RA3 works like a charm, but GRID, Endwar, test drive unlimited and ms flight simulator does not work, and all of the games have the same issue.

i know w7 is a beta os and these are one of the bad sides to it, but i just want to cover everything before i do something drastic like reformat and install vista...

hardware:

2 x Geforce 9600gt sli (182 driver)

intel core 2 due 3.2ghz

asus p5n-d

6gb ddr2

audio -> realtek acl 888 HD (i think this one might be the issue)

Maybe see what happens if you turn off SLI for them games which lock up, or maybe uninstall that driver for ur gfx, and see if windows update has a windows 7 driver for it, think when i installed mine it installed a gfx driver from windows update, probably not optimal for performance but it may stop the crashes. Other than that look around google for a windows 7 beta driver or hotfix.

yup.. turning sli off did the trick... a single 9600gt worked flawless in endwar(high @ 1680x1050) no crashes at all...

thanks :) now i'll just hope nvidia releases some windows 7 beta drivers
