I realy enjoy my pc gaming.  i was just wondering how can i take advantage of a two monitor set up.  it seems if i have a web page open on Monitor B it is pushed over to the side when i open a game on monitor A.  and if i turn right in a game then the mouse is suddenly over on monitor B.  so what is the best way to set up a dual monitor set up for pcgaming and web brousing at the same time.

Well I know that supreme commander supports dual screen, you can actually have one screen as the tactical map and the other in... the main screen whatever :P I know this post isnt answering your question, just thought it'd be interesting.

Currently it is the only game that does that. however say i want to play a game on screen A and look up a F.A.Q. on Screen B or a walkthrough.

You can do that, one screen is the game, the other would be the normal desktop.

I dont like dual screen, Because sometimes my mouse gets over to the other monitor and then I end up exiting my game (especially playing starcraft)

ya. see i am talking about other games though like rainbow six vegas or other such. i wonder if any other games support dual screen would bee good for a flight sim to have your instrament pannel on a second monitor. or a space sim. perhaps a startrek game and a second monitor with a touch screen.

The screen shift is a direct x issue when the primary monitor switches resolution. To fix it, either move the second monitor to any position besides right (on the top, left, or bottom), or you can ensure the desktop resolution of the primary monitor matches the game resolution. Since many games swap resolutions to play movies and such, moving the second monitor to the other side (or top or bottom) is probably best.

Yup, like karossii said the content of the second monitor being moved to the side is caused by the game resolution not matching the desktop resolution. As for your mouse moving to the second monitor I had dual monitors for years and never had that happen. I always play games full screen though. If you're playing them windowed I guess it would happen, but if not something isn't right. I think there's a utility that will lock the mouse to one monitor, but after a quick google I couldn't find it.

I run as many games as i can in windowed mode so the desktop doesn't get scooted over, but it is still possible to watch movies, but probably not full screen on the 2nd monitor. It would probably have to be windowed

I used dual monitors for playing music and playing games for years and never had that problem with my mouse, so maybe there's a setting to disable it?
