So, you're dual-boxing...but I'm missing how you're seeing more with two monitors. Must be a setting where you can adjust your monitors to act as one bigger panoramic view? Just curious.

Wouldn't the band down the middle become annoying and potentially bad for games? I too have been thinking of 2 19 in. monitors

well it does bug a little, but pretty much every game can run in windowed mode so you can just move it to the side a little and make it so your cursor, and the middle ofyour view isnt obscured

no you can youll just be limited by the resolution of the 19" monitor, and there will also be the size difference, but that wont matter so much in rts games, just fps, but even then u night be able to live with it

You do know that you're seeing less in HL2? The engine renders a larger 4:3 image, then crops it to fit your screens. Other than that, it must be cool. What kind of FPS and settings do you get in Crysis. Hell, what do you have in your computer to power it?

no im pretty sure it just expands it in half life cause its set at 3360 by 1050 and i tested one moitor against 2 and it basically doubled it, and as far as crysis goes i run it on all high settingswith a resolution of 2600 by 600 at about 20-25 fps, and my hardware is a AMD x2 6000+, 2 gigs of ram and a 8800gts 320mb

Not all games (if any) are providing you with a bigger view.

Look again at the CoH screenshot. the mini map is now an oval proving that all you've done is stretched the picture.

I have a 22" WS monitor. In order to get a wider field of view in a gameat 1680x1050 I have to use a 16:10 aspect ratio (or sometimes 16:9). To play at your stated resolutions you'd have to have an aspect ratio of something like 3:1 (3000:1000). I don't believe any game gives that option so you're not really seeing more, only stretching the 16:10 image.

Check out www.widescreengamingforums.com for proper info' & tweaks for WS games.

Now that we're talking about Dual monitor, does someone know how to fix this problem: I have chosen to have one game running on one screen, then some applications running on the other. But unfortunately whenever I activate one of the other application, the game minimizes. Isn't there a way to force the game to stay where it is, while I use one of the other applications? I would love to be able to chat on messenger at the same time I play a game, but with the automatic minimizing of the game, it's impossible :( Is there something that can be done about this?

OK, this is probably a dumb question but I have dual 27.5" widescreen lcd monitors....... is their any way to interconnect them to show one picture instead of two? Like SuperBork has? and if so, how do i do that?
