Wow this game is so linear that 90% of the paths are narrower then 2 meters

Half the game was blocked..Thats why it seams linear..Besides whathack and slash game wasnt linear..Torchlight was just a randum room yet every one loved it..Ds2 was just a straight path if i remember...Even titan quest was linear..Diablo will be some what linear also..True it will have a out side world to explore..How ever the dungeons will be linear..Wish people would just stop using this fraze..Most games are linear..Id say more than half..
Lot of the demo is blocked out they a lot will be unlocked at full release..It was also the first maybe 15 minutes of the game..Love how people judge it off 15 minutes..Game they said gets larger in the next city you visit..
Torchlight's areas were wider. Titan Quest wasn't really linear. It's true, the game is very linear.I thought the demo was okay but I wasn't really expecting much either. It did seem very consolized. I especially disliked how looting was handled. Overall, it seemed fine for what it was, a mindless hack and slash with a story. It was more enjoyable than the two other Dungeon Siege games but that's not really saying anything is it? Those games were true garbage.
So the game suffers from poor visuals, heavily consolized and mediocre writting ?
This doesn't sound like Obsidian, at all, i would have expected a severe lack of polish (such as what happened with Alpha Protocol, which has a fantastic story and a absolutely magnificient dialogue st yle), but not this. KOTOR2, New Vegas, Neverwinter Nights 2 - they all were vastly superior compared to their predecessors, but suffered from a lack of polish, which the community fortunately fixed, so we could enjoy these masterpieces.
Dungeon Siege III doesn't sound like Obsidian, something definitely has gone horribly wrong here.

The visuals are great.. they may not push the boundaries of hardware, but they do the job. Nice effects and the game runs quite well. If you look back to when NWN2 was released, it was an awful looking game for the time AND ran horribly.
And the story so far actually seemed pretty decent..I dunno what it is about it that people wouldn't like.
The only aspect of the demo that I found particularly un-Obsidian was the peculiar lack of game-breaking bugs. But then again, the demo didn't last that long.

yeah, I thought everything was ok to good; nothing great, but far from horrible. The voiceacting was a bit corny, especially the Archon playable character
Overall a good game, I will buy it when it comes down to 30 or so.
The demo was god-awful for me. It doesn't feel close to being a proper Dungeon Siege game. You can tell they were trying to copy the Mass Effect/DA 2 dialogue system but aside that, I was not impressed. Having Sqaure Enix owning the franchise was a bad idea.
just to give you some additional hate: Have the game..full verison The camera can be dealt with, takes time to get used to it - but it is what it is. I enjoyed the game through and played till the end but with much disappointment. I did every possible side quest, explored what I could (which is limited) and searched for every secret I could find. When it was said and done, I found myself facing the last boss at around 10 hours gameplay. This was not the worst yet - after about a 5-10 minute final boss fight the game does its thing and I find myself back at the menu screen...guess what - it autosaves at the last boss and once it is beat there is _NO_ replay, you cant load the char up and play a different difficulty, you cant load up and go and explore or try to level or even find other gear. Once you beat it, you are done and have to roll a new char or load an old save point.....for me it has no replay and I dont expect the multiplayer to be much better. For that reason, I will not buy this game and I will use my 60$ elsewhere.moozhc
You kind of just told on yourself for pirating, chief.
Demo was pretty meh in my opinion.
What I didn't like:
-Pre designed characters
-Targeting system shows it was made for a controller
-Combat shows it was made for a controller
-Lack of depth in skills and development (from what I can tell, it's only a demo though)
I think this demo just made me realize how much I want Diablo III to come out.
