I would say that is a bit high at idle speeds, but it also depends on what fan/heatsink you are using too. If it is the stock one, I'm not quite sure, that might be normal. I had a pretty nice aftermarket cooler and I idled at about 33C @ 3.7 ghz.XRED_033C at 3.7 GHz is fantastic! I have mine overclocked to 3.6 GHz and it idles at about 38C and will get up to 47C under load.

Yeah, my ambient was usually kinda low compared to now, but I had a beast of an aftermarket cooler too and some really nice case airflow.
I used to be really anal about my Xeon e3110 your problem is probably that the reading isn't coming from the right censors. SHould be able to reduce your temp by 10 degrees which is closer to accurate.
I can't explain it, someone with more knowledge can let ya know what i'm talking about.
