System Shock and Syndicate? Unfortunately, they are not part of the deal that took GOG and EA 12 months to complete due to "licensing reasons."

I can't play Dungeon Keeper on my current PC, so I might have to buy it off of GOG so I can play it again.

Dead Space started off as System Shock 3 when they went in making it, IIRC - it kind of diverged at some point and went on its own path.

More like "too bad SS2 doesn't work on a modern OS". The last OS it worked on was XP, and that was only with several fan made patches and the use of compatibility mode. I'd imagine SS1 is in a similar state, although I've never tried to install it so I can't comment on it. I don't understand why EA just doesn't sell the damn game anymore. The only way we'll ever be able to play it now is if it gets a re-release with a version updated to be compatible with modern hardware and OS's.

It does work actually, I forgot the website but you can install an updated fan patch (or was it a tool?) and it will work on Win7. That's how I did it... but still I would like to have a digital copy of the game since my CD copy of it isn't in a good condition :/

I bought Ultima Underworld last night. Two of my favourite games of all time, been waiting for GOG to get them for a long time.

Dungeon Keeper will also be bought quite soon.

Holy crap! I just got an email from GOG. Coming soon after the three already available games will be Magic Carpet, one other game I can't remember, and... ...Alpha Centauri! Oh man, I cannot wait.

Nah, definitely not always true. Last I played SS2 it was on XP a few years ago, and it didn't require any jumping through hoops. Just install, patch (for coop!) and play. We were all using retail CD copies we'd owned since the game came out, though.

Hmmm good stuff there, but I'm still gonna give EA flack for rushing Bioware to release Dragon Age 2.

Activision has classics? That must have been before they started burning everything into the ground.

This might be a good start: http://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=392.0

Played through the game with that tool not long ago, amazing game. I'm pretty sure that the guys at GoG work very hard on getting the ability to release the game. They have to be aware of the amount of people still waiting for a rerelease.
