Hello, I have the following setup PS3 (Digital Out) -----> (Digital In) X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty (Analog Out) ------> (Analog In) T7900 7.1 Surround Sound. The X-Fi card Doesn't Decode DD or DTS 5.1/7.1, & the signal is not detected I only hear static noise in games, I can only use 2 channel PCM can I use the EARForce DSS to do the following PS3 (Digital Out) -----> (Digital In) EARForce DSS (earphone jack) -----> (Line In) X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty(Analog Out) ------> (Analog In) T7900 7.1 Surround Sound. Will the Line In preserve the 7.1 Decided channel from the EARForce. Another question, Can I use the Transmitter from this item http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/xbox-gaming-headsets/ear-force-x41.aspx to decode the Signal & use the (another earphone jack) & to connect it via Line In to the X-Fi Card & get 7.1 Sound ? Basically the main question is, can the X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty do 7.1 if the Signal received was from Line In (input) rather than the Digital In or from the PC Game. Or will using the Creative CMSS gives me the same results as this. with 2 Channel PCM, I want the 5.1/7.1 Signal Hope you understand what I want to do. thank you.

Before I try to help answer your question, is there a reason you are not using the optical SPDIF output from the X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty to your receiver? I would imagine this would be the preferred method.

the T7900 7.1 is an Analog Surround, & doesn't have Optical in. Is it clear ? do you have anymore questions, I'll gladly answer.

Gotcha; I have the 2.1 version of your surround system, and it's quite nice. It sounds like you would ideally like to pass-through the audio from your PS3 through your PC soundcard and output it to your T7900. This does seem like something your card should be able to do. However, I'm going to suggest you create an account on the Creative Support forums and ask your question there. They should be able to provide better guidance for this issue since it is specific to their product, and recommendations about alternatives. Someone else here might be able to provide better suggestions; sorry I cannot be more helpful! Good luck, Boz

thank you, but as stated in the Creative Forums, this card doesn't support DD decoding, it can only decode it with PowerDVD.
