Hey can somone please tell me how good the following items need to be to play Empire Total War on the best graphics setting? Graphics card? Processor? system power supply? system drive? memory? thanks

I play with most settings on high at 1680x1050 with no AA with an AMD Phenom 9550 @ 2.3 GHz each, ATI HD 4830, and 6 gigs of Ram. You prolly need one hell of a rig to max it.
Just turn it down a notch until some patches/decent drivers come out.Empire Total war runs terribly and in reality doesnt need such high specs to play.Anyhoo,im playing rome total war,runs perfect and is 1000x better than Empire...

You don't need to spend that much money. A Core i7 920 is the best bang for the buck right now - and I personally wouldn't go any higher or lower than that. The next generation of video cards will be out in the Fall, so hold off for one of those. Go with 6 gigabytes of triple-channel memory. I'm a big believer in upgrading your GPU every 18 months - so you're really better off putting some money aside, and keeping it in a lock-box, and then buying a new GPU in a year and a half. Personally, I bought a Core i7 from Alienware 4 months ago, and am loving every minute of it. It's so wonderful to be back in the loop again.

hmmm must be my E7200 cpu holding me back as my graphics card is better than yours yet you can max it when i get lag...then again i would have thought a chip OC'd to 4ghz would have no problem running this,must be a driver/OS problem i have.
