Enableing SLI question

I went to the nvidia control panal and chose the enable sli option. Is this the only thing I have to do or do I change the "SLI performance mode" option in the global settings? it is set to "Single GPU" right now.

probably have to do the global settings as well, and then reboot.

You know nvidia would have this exact question either a)in help menu or b)in their websites faq.
