About time! I can't Wait! :P
An all Engineer Matches for the first week or so? sounds like fun, and I'm sure the Spy's/Demos will be having a blast as well.
Soon probably means in a year or so in "Valve time"...
Chenwei91
I hope not... I can't find a conversion of "soon" in Valve time. I guess we'll find out.;)
Its gonna be exciting for sure, seeing as how he's the last of the 9 to get some love and he's just overall an interesting class with the buildables and such. Right now my new favorite's probably the heavy.. I used to suck playing him, but since the little update that fixed his minigun speed and stuff, I find I've been tearing things down to shreds a lot easier.
I'm really digging the new community items as well, its gonna breathe a lot of fresh air into a game that's already been updated to hell and beyond. Back to the engi though, I found it interesting how you can see some sort of odd robotic-looking head piece on the ground behind where he's working. That, and there seems to be the pyro's flamer just in front of him if I recall? I wonder if he's going to get some fiery upgrade to help him out a little with the sneaky spy harassments. :P Then again I somewhat hope not, seeing as spy's gotten tricky enough with flying pee jars and whatnot..
Maybe it's something to give the Engineers's Turrets a chance to spot Invisible Spies.TreflisThat would break the game
did you guys see the mechanical arm blue print in the background?

This too is another interesting thing to take note of. I did notice that actually, along with that weird robot head behind him with the red eye-looking thing. Kinda seems Portal-ish to me.
That would break the game ehh the game is already broken ever since previous updates.[QUOTE="Treflis"]Maybe it's something to give the Engineers's Turrets a chance to spot Invisible Spies.Lox_Cropek

lol, the game is not broken at all, it just gets better and better
Engi is the most boring class, but I'm glad to see all the updates for each class going out and done.pvtdonut54Boring? How is being what I like to call a "Combat" engineer boring? When I'm roaming the enemy base, placing decoy turrets to disrupt their plans, and killing tons of people with my shotgun when I should be out gunned.... boring my keister....
I say they should do the following: 1. Hammer instead of wrench. Builds buildings 25% faster for people who like getting turrets up quickly. 2. Flamethrower add-on to turrets. Sure missile launchers are great but give me a flame thrower to throw on it instead and imagine the choke point you could create. 3. Utility Belt. Allows the engineer to hold 50 more metal then normal. I know I would love extra metal when placing buildings in areas with low metal respawns. Anyone else agree?Cdscottie
need some downsides. i know some of the new weapons seem like definite upgrades, but there's always something bad about them.

Engi getting Mecha-suit? Like Hitler/Staatmeister in Wolfenstein 3D? Something similar? NOT GOOD.
There's an article on Valve's blog, about Repair node thingy. It is supposed to auto-repair buildings so engi could directly help his comrades on battlefield, but they dumped plans for that, since it made problems with team balance on certain maps.
