Take advantage of combo deals on newegg. You'll save a lot of money. Probably hundreds of dollars.

If you intend to flash the 6950's to 6970's, don't buy the Asus cards as they're factory overclocked. Flashing to the 6970 doesn't work with factory overclocks.

Get the Sapphire instead. There's even a mail-in rebate, if you're interested.

For a motherboard, the Asus P8P67 EVO and Sabretooth are excellent boards, as are the Gigabyte GAP67 UD series...

Looks good to me. Only thing that you could maybe add is a BluRay burner. Adds another 130 dollar, but hey, you'd be set for the future. LiteOn have a free copy of Cyberlink PowerDVD 9 or 10 (depending on how old the stock is) with each burner, which allows you watch BluRay movies on your computer...

And yes, you'd be able to max-out every game...

SSD (Solid State Disk) have no moving parts like other Hard Drives, so, yes, your operating system and games will load much faster.

Downloads are subject to the speed of your internet connection, so they could go very fast or very slow...

SSD disks are very expensive right now, especially when you buy large capacity disks. You could buy a 'small' 120GB drive for your operating system and keep a 1TB disk to put whatever you want...

From the ones you displayed, I'd go with the Gigabyte board...

Could be. But the video cards always have a crossfire/sli cable included. Thermal paste is something you'll have to buy separately. Buy a couple of these. One should do it, but better have too much than not enough ;)
