I am not sure this is the right section to put this on but here is what is happening While I was trying to download the game Empire: Total War on my pc a message came up saying"something else is installing please finish that installation before continuing" I dont think it was exactly like that but something like that. But I have nothing else installing, and I dont know why it is doing that, any help would be appreciated

You had to be downloading on Steam so maybe you had a game that was updating and you just need to restart Steam.

The way most people download Empire is through an application called Steam. http://store.steampowered.com/ You can buy and download games from the application and it saves to your account so if you ever reformat or get a new computer you can just download it again. You can also get demo's from steam and some games are only found on steam.

Just restart the Steam application (right-click a little black box in the bottom right of your desktop...next to the clock...and click exit)

Then go to start --> programs --> Steam and reopen it...try downloading again.

K...you don't have Steam then...you obviously have the EA download manager...just shut that down and restart it. If it still says a program is installing...check in the program for a status bar...or something you could cancel.
