Use these settings:

vertical sync: Off (causes mouse lag)

Color mode: 16: bit

Anti-aliasing: as high as it goes ( I think it's called 16xcsaa or something)

Screen space ambient occlusion: off

Post process effects: on

texture quality: High

anisotropy: 100%

model shadows: on

decals: on

There is also one important option called pixel aspect, but it depends, what resolution you are running?

Anti aliasing takes care of jagged edges and makes them look smooth ,it make a big difference. Though I have an ATI card now and it only allows me to use 8xAA, 32Xcssa might be over kill and cause lag. If 32xcssa causes too much lag use 16xcssaa or something. I'm not sure what pixel aspect option you should use, try every single one and see if you find one that gives you fullscreen without the image being stretched. I'm running 1680x1050 and use 16:10->16:9 option.

Don't think so, auto isn't the right option for me atleast. How does auto look for you, do you have black bars at the top and bottom of the screen, or is the image stretched? Also make sure to check it ingame, the menu isn't an accurate way to tell.

here's some examples

This is how it should not look:

http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/7324/darkathena2011011616134.jpg

As you can see there's black bars in the first image at the top and bottom of the screen, and in the second image the screen has been squeezed from the sides

This is how it should look:

http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/3392/darkathena2011011616123.jpg

Not distortion, no black bars, fullscreen.

The higher the better, you need to test it out and see if it runs good with whatever option you choose. Just launch the game, choose an option and if it runs fine, go with it, if the framerate is bad, lower it. Try 16xMSAA for starters

Well your monitor is a 16:10 one right? I think one of these options the right one:

16:10->16:9

5:4-> 4:3

Auto

Just try them out, it's very easy to test your way through by launching the game, pause,choose an option, try it out, pause, choose a new option, try it out.

1920x1200 is a 16:10 ratio. If that's what that menu lists ex: 4:3, 16:9, 16:10, etc.

You have a native resolution of 1920x1200.. so I would recommend using 16:10. That's what I use.

The options don't look like that, they look like this:

16:10-> 16:9

16:10-> 2.35

16:9-> 4:3

16:9-> 5:4

5:4-> 4:3

4:3-> 5:4

And so on

People already told you to use 16:10 which is right. But just so you know what it means, it's the aspect ratio of your monitor. So a 1920 x 1080 monitor would be 16:9 because 1920/1080 is 1.77 repeating and 16/9 is 1.77 repeating. So 1920/1200 would be 1.6 and 16/10 is 1.6.
