Ethernet boot issue with SSD.

When I boot, my ethernet ( intel 8275v ) takes like 20 additional seconds to obtain connectivity after I have arrived at a fully loaded desktop. I assume it is obtaining an IP and that this procedure would normally be happening while I looked at the windows logo or while the rest of the OS was loading on a traditional drive but since the SSD takes literally a few seconds from the post screen, it isn't ready by the time the OS is fully loaded.

I'm probably wrong and it isn't a gigantic issue. Just curious if there is anyway to rectify this. Static IP maybe so it doesn't have to obtain one? Dunno.

I have no idea what your problem is but I have a friend with McAfee Anti Virus which always delays his Ethernet connection as it scans it for legitimacy every time he boots. Maybe it's something like that.JC_Spot

Verified it isn't an AV issue. I also don't have a router. It's plugged directly into the modem. It isn't stalling either. It starts with "cable disconnected" starts obtaining information ( swirly ball thing ) and after this happens I get a no network caution icon for about 3 seconds and then everything works. Overall about 20 seconds total.

It's almost like the ethernet isn't starting to turn on until after the OS is completely loaded. Maybe a wonky energy setting somewhere? I looked over the settings for the adapter and I can't find anything like that or in the bios.

Get a router
