I'm 31 and been playing since I was 4 and sometimes I feel like that, but it's probably due to the fact of having more responsibilities and less time to play and because socially people don't understand your hobby.

Also there's a trend this days of making kiddie games because of the consoles, but at the same time we have brilliant and mature games like Max Payne, Bioshock and The Witcher. Basically I consider that one can be too old to play console games, but PC games will always be more mature and complex, so I don't think about stop playing anyday soon.

Nope.. im 24, i know a lot of gamers that are older than me. Do what you enjoy. A lot of games these days are becoming more mature since the average age of the gamer is rising so there is nothing kiddy about our hobby.

The question is, of course, directed at non-teenage PC gamers. I'm 25, which I know is by no means old, but I sometimes find myself thinking that my hobby is kind of juvenille, Especially considering the amount of time and money I'm putting into it. Anyone else feel the same?dos4gw82

Did one of your friends / relatives tell you that?

Iv heard that its "juvinile" alot but thats ignorent.

If you find it really fun, PLAY and if ur getting tired of it, look for some other hobbies and just game less.

I grew up playing video games from the atari years when i was three and on went through NES, SNES, and N64 before switching to PC gaming. Still enjoy playing games and consider it a hobby. I dont think I will ever stop playing games even when Im 60.

not really. it's something i enjoy doing. i don't push out other hobbies just to game; i still enjoy cooking and reading. i spend money on games and a decent rig, but not so much that i feel guilty about it. when i consider that my boss is 60 and enjoys collecting baseball cards and other paraphernalia, gaming doesn't really seem juvenile. to each his own i guess...

Not really because I don't put that much money into upgrading. I put $400 into it this year and that's all I'm going to put into it until next summer. Then I'll just need a better video card. So that's only $34 a month. I just go for mid range stuff instead of uber. And there's plenty of other things I can do with my computer besides game, so really it pays for itself.

hey there mate, i'm 25 as well. :)

i don't know about you, but coming out from college and now working for a magazine, i tend to feel that gaming is really not the type of quality hobby you'd associate with the, well, more mature individuals. in my working environment, a freelance photographer is about the only one beside me who is slightly into gaming; many of them don't even own a proper desktop and instead rely on their laptop entirely for work and leisure.

also, nowadays gaming is becoming too time consuming for somebody who seeks to seriously commit to his job/family. i really don't entertain the idea that one can spend 3 4 hours ( most people play much more than that ) on games and still call himself successful when guys like my editor and managing director can't even sit down for a lunch without planning it.

gaming is a very cool hobby, that's for sure. it was my best friend as i was growing up -- and somehow i still haven't moved on like most of my friends do. i suppose i would have to someday....but before that happens, i would like to sit back and enjoy while i still can. :)

Oh yes I did forget to mention like many others here. When I reached a certain age I just switched to PC gaming. For some reason I enjoy it a hell of a lot more then any nextgen console.
