is there a big difference between the evga 285 gtx 1 gb vs the evga 285 gtx 2 gb

i been looking for reviews and benchmarks for the 2 gb version but im unable to find them

your thoughts

I'm guessing that unless you play at resolutions higher than 1920 by 1200 with AA and AF all the way up, there will be little to no difference. That's a guess mind you but, if you check the reviews for the GTS 250 512 and 1GB versions that seems to be where any difference is seen.

Unless you're gaming at 1920x1200 or 2560x1600, you're not really going to see any kind of performance increase over a 2GB version vs the 1GB version. Remember, some companies like to throw out the large VRAM supporting graphic cards to draw extra sales for something that either: a) 99% of people won't benefit from it or b) the video card can't even make use of the extra RAM that it supports.

im planning on wait for a dx 11 card until then im happy with my evga 9600 gt 1 gb
