Every time I restart the game I'm forced to restart the whole mission from the very beginning. WTF?

There appears to be no way to save mid level at all, no checkpoint save, no quicksave, nothing.

Only thing the game does is autosave your characters stats.

No wonder this is a 20hour game, if you stop at all before finishing a level, you get to keep redoing it till you find the time to actually finish the level completely.

This save system stinks.

Well, I played and still play countless classic FPS games and they pretty much all had quicksaves.

This. I can't think of any FPS that didn't have mid game saves.

I'm hoping someone comes up with a console tweak to allow quicksave or something. This is the Source engine after all.

I wouldn't be surprised if they fix it. It did just come out after all. Still, reminds me of Magicka, and that makes the game a chore to play for me.

This has been known for a while. Here's what they said on their website: "It saves when you quit the game, when you fail, when you finish a mission, and it always saves for security. So, you quit the game during a mission, for example. You'll resume again when you were in the mission, but physically you will be at your last deployment point. This system has been chosen for immersion. When the player quits the game, it is as if the character returns at the base, at the temple, so it wouldn't be normal if he reconnected at the same place and time he was when he departed."

This game has been delayed for over 6 months. There is nothing to fix..they did this on purpose. [QUOTE="Planeforger"]This has been known for a while.
