I have recently bought Fable: TLC for PC and have already ran into some problems.

My PC has much higher specification than what is recommended on the back of the case, yet now that I have installed it, the game is slightly glitchy in the sense that the subtitles flicker on and off. Also, portions of text are missing in parts of the game. I only had to play it for about half an hour and it really began to bug me. It got so bad at times that when I was offered a yes/no option, the text was completely absent, and all I could see was the yes and no options to click on.

I have read previous thread that have addressed such issues and the main thing to come from them was that this usually happens when the graphics card in your computer is not totally compatible with the game. However, I have an NVIDIA GeForceFX 5800 in my PC and this is listed on the supported video cards section of the game's website.

A work colleague of mine tells me that there is a patch that can be downloaded to sort this problem out. But the thing is I cannot find this patch for the life of me.  :(

If possible, could someone please link to me to a patch for the game or suggest a way to make these glitchy problems go away. I really want to play the game, but as it stands, this is nigh on impossible.

Make sure you tone shadows down to medium, unless you have a video card that supports pixel shader 3. If you don't have a video card that supports pixel shader 3, then the game will not run properly if you have the shadows settings set to maximum.
