Ok I can run the game smooth on lowest setting and my laptop. But seriously is there anything I can do to make the game run smoothly at least on medium cause I hate playing games on low settings. Hell I'm not Pc genuis but I know how to compare spec's and I know how to tell if a computer is able to run a game or not and this laptop should be able to run at highest settings.

Btw I have 3 gb of ram and it has a Intel Processor of 2.16 GHz when the game only needs 1.2 GHz.

Ok I bought a 500 dollar laptop and I sure as hell know it should be able run a 2005 game.

Note- I'm running it on Vista but I'm pretty sure that it's not Vista that makes it run like crap.

To be honest I'm gonna to upgrade my XP (and that old thing can run the game faster when it's a little bit slower than this laptop) soon cause Vista sucks playing games unless you got some high tech computer.

What are the exact specs of your laptop? For now I'm gonna make a guess and say that your integrated video card isn't good enough for any sort of decent 3d-gaming. You did get it right when you said Vista doesn't make games like run crap. That's assuming your Vista OS is updated. In any case, post more specific specs and I'm sure more comments (helpful ones hopefully) will flow in.

EDIT: Meant to say your integrated vid card isn't good enough. :)

Is that a Duo Core? I had an Intel core duo laptop at -i think -1.8 Ghz Duo, 1 GB RAM, Intel 945 intrgrated GPU, Win XP. It ran Fable pretty smoothly on med-high settings for the most parts.

For most games, it's the video card that the limiting factor....not the CPU. You said your laptop was only $500 so it's safe to assume that you don't have a discrete graphics chip. Even the low end stuff is waaaaay better than an integrated graphics chip.
