First, read the readme files carefully. If you don't have the meshes folder that's no problem. That just means you haven't installed any mods before this one that required it. Now that this one does it should come with it's own meshes folder. Place it in the Data folder like it says and it should be fine. If you need further help with the mod provide it's name or a link to it.

Thanks for responding. Well the problem is when installing mods with new textures, like let's say Project Beauty. In the instructions says to overwrite the folders provided in the mod Meshes and Textures. But those are not folders they are files with the extension .BSA. Can anyone tell me what to do?

If the folders dont exist, then make it... right off the bat I dont think there are any folders in the Data folder itself, you pretty much drag and drop all folders for the mod into the data folder in thier own folders, except the .ESP files, that are just placed in the data folder.

Look, i tried it and it didn't work. I tried to explain. I have to replace certain files from the meshes and textures folder, that's what it says in the readme of the mod, but i can't because there are no meshes/textures folder, there are only large files textures and meshes and they have extension .bsa :S. Had anyone here tried to install mods?

Quote: Ok, here's how to install it.

FIRST delete ALL files that have the words "headhuman" from your Fallout 3 Textures\characters\female directory.

once you've done that...then

copy these files (from my folder) into your Fallout directory.

...\Data\Textures\characters\female\headhuman.dds
...DataTexturescharactersfemaleheadhuman_n.dds
...DataTexturescharactersfemaleheadhumanf10.dds
...DataTexturescharactersfemaleheadhumanf10_n.dds

Remember that you should have only 4 "headhuman" files. If you have more or less, it will change things.

Then activate the esp file.

If you don't have a File in your Fallout 3 Folder named "Data" then create one with that name, then chuck it all in there. It would also be strange if you don't have such a folder as there's where most of the stuff to have Fallout not be a bunch of lines would be.

Additionally sometimes when using the Fallout launcher some mods might uncheck themselves when you start to play so then they made the Fallout Mod manager, where you start it up, check the ESP files you want to use and then run Fallout 3

make sure to get the archive invalidation thing. Another thing is if you are useing Vista sometimes Mods wont properly work in FO3/Oblivion so the fix is to install the game in a non program files folder.

Follow the instructions included with the mod.

ADDITIONALLY:

Get ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated and install it. It'll make your life alot easier.

Hold on, you aren't done yet.

Go to C:\Users\(Your Name)\Documents\My Games\Fallout3. Open up FALLOUT.INI.

Change

bInvalidateOlderFiles=0

to

bInvalidateOlderFiles=1

Assuming you extract the mod correctly, that's all you need to know.
