Fallout 3 review is aother example of how bad Gamespot review its games. they complain about just two minor things in the whole review and praise all the rest for being really good but they still only give it a 9.0/10. They complained more in GTA4 review than in this one but they give that 10/10. What they say in their review isn't consistent with the mark they give out. It shows that the mark they give out is just their opinion and not a professionals opinion.
Look, a number is a number. It doesn't matter if they give a game a 1 or a 10 as the game will be the exact same no matter what. What you actually have to do is read the review and use it as a template to see if you will enjoy the game enough to purchase. If you only look at scores, then you will think that Halo and GoW are the greatest things since sliced bread.

So what? There were just two negative things, but maybe there weren't enough good things for it to get a higher score. Anyways, it's just a review and I really don't see much of a difference between a 9 and a 9.5.
Despite what a reviewer says in the review, they always have their "tilt" on the score one way or another, based on what they THINK it should be. It is a look at a game from someone with an informed OPINION. Or to put it another way:
I think you make a valid point. Not about it deserving a 10/10 but I do agree that with the introduction of the new scoring system a while back, review scores became completely non-transparent. They mention a couple of strong and weak points, but there is no way to tell how or if these points affected the score. For me this means I place very little value in the score. I don't think the actual reviews are bad though, they provide a lot of useful information. In the case of fallout 3 I decided that I want to check it out but not that bad that I can't wait till a significant price drop.
For gods sakes, what a waste of space, a 9 is a great score, FO3 is not the best game ever, deal with it, it is still a good game, don't whine like a 2 yr old because you feel it deserved betetr, it is just one review and a score that means nothing, all that matters is how you like or dislike a game, grow up.

Hmm true gta iv doesnt worth a total 10, i mean a 100 of 100 points? but fallout 3 that is better than oblivion doesnt deserve a 10? well id say this game should get about a 9.5 but i usually rate games a little lower than gs, but the latest gs rates are lower so i guess its fine in my book, but gta iv is not 10, you want flaws? San andreas had muvh bigger maps and vehicles, gta does not . doesnt that mean that compared with older titles its worse in that point and its considered as a flaw?
