That is becoming such a classic line "War...war never changes" and a hint at new faction too. I thought that guy in armor was a bit like the soldiers with the red eyes in Killzone 2 when he turned his face around.

Wait, why not? It's being made by Obsidian, don't get your hopes up just yet.

The trailer looked pretty nice. I just hope that Obsidian won't rush the game and that it's going to be bug free. Or am I just asking too much?
I'm curious to how the city survived nuclear annihilation. From that video the city looks like it's in decent shape...though the graveyard was a little large :P.
Hopefully it lives up to expectations and does not disappoint.
You have a contradiction right there ;). Obsidian makes better "RPGs" than Bethesda, with their eyes closed. It's being made by Obsidian, don't get your hopes up just yet.

Not to mention Obsidian is made primarily of Ex-Black Isle guys, meaning that New Vegas is in fact being made by many of the same people who made the good Fallout games. It's being made by Obsidian, don't get your hopes up just yet.

i thought it was pretty lame and lazy, even for a teaser.. especially the recycling of the "war.." etc. other than an appearance of the ncr it gave no info on the game whatsoever.. nevertheless i really enjoyed fallout 3 (was glad i waited for the goty edition though) so i'm just going to try and ignore the hype machine from now on and hope for something more along the lines of the previous fallout games as i really liked the new reno part in fallout 2. as far as i'm concerned there's a lot of potential here but this trailer means nothing to me.

They rush their games out. Look what they did to KOTOR2. I like bethesda more, while I wasn't a huge fan of oblivion they make great games.

Not all cities were hit with nukes.
after the Alpha Protocol fiasco, i'm definitely not holding my breath for anything these guys have to offer. Not that their reputation was not already marred by a repertoire of technical inaptitude, of course.

Well, as a teaser, it's just that. It's mean to tease. To let you know, "Hey, this game is coming, here is a goofy little video we did, more coming in [insert date]". That's all they're meant for.
[QUOTE="morrowindnic"]They rush their games out. Look what they did to KOTOR2. millerlight89Kotor 2 was a great game.
They took out A LOT of stuff from KOTOR 2 because they rushed it. So I don't even consider it canon.

Surprised my browser didnt crash while watching the video though :P But yes Obsidian really know how to make RPGs and hopefully bring a half-competent story compared to what Bethesda did. It's being made by Obsidian, don't get your hopes up just yet.

I enjoyed Fallout 3, but you are right the main story was a joke. Come to think of it none of their games was great on story. Though not that it matters too much they have interesting locals and interesting characters. Though I would like a better story. It's being made by Obsidian, don't get your hopes up just yet.

"Money-making....money-making never changes...except when the customer only has a $100 bill for a $90 game with a lousy campaign.....but yeah...money-making, money-making never changes". biggest_loserYou are right, 90% of the gaming population will rage if its not like fallout 3, no worries!!

Just to clear things up, Lucasarts rushed KOTOR 2 for a Christmas-y release before it was actually finished. If they'd been given more time, all of that cut content would have blown most other RPGs out of the water.
Hopefully Bethesda will give Obsidian enough time to polish this off, as it has the potential to be great.

Needles to point out that Mass effect also received alot of cut content that was not in the game!! After kotor i expected bioware to make kotor 2, then i could blame osbidian for being inferior but then i found out that jade empire and mass effect also had much less content than kotor. On the other hand Osbidian made neverwinter nights 2 that most definetly had alot of content. So if you ask me, its not about the developer, its about the game and the current development. As you said hopefully bethesda will give them time do develop and polish the game but they told them to make a fallout game to fill the gap between fallout 4. I would say they got as much time! Also osbidian is delaying Alpha protocol, with all that heavy load they got, the most wise course of action will be to make a "fallout 3" clone because they got they template ready, if they make the game short and use the same engine and resources, they can make a short "fallout 3" with some new items and monsters and a smaller new map! Dont give me that angry look, you know how things are nowadays, game developers are not putting much of effort in their projects, they prefer the easy way out. So what i said is propable with the way obsidian got they hands full!Fiasco, what the hell are you saying? The game has been delayed because Sega saw potential in it to be an AAA title, how can you say it's a fiasco if it ain't even out yet?after the Alpha Protocol fiasco, i'm definitely not holding my breath for anything these guys have to offer. [QUOTE="morrowindnic"=]Not all cities were hit with nukes.
You would figure it would. They had enough nukes to damage the ecosystem and they didn't think of taking out Las Vegas? Then again how can they provide power to one of the most energy consuming city in the US?Looking forward to this one, especially with alot of the same guys at the helm who made Fallout and Fallout 2. Hopefully they've learned their lessons from previous efforts (NWN2 and KOTOR2), I realize KOTOR2 was rushed by Lucas, but NWN2 wasn't even playable when it was released. I think they have done a much better job as far as bugs and technical issues with more recent releases such as Mask of Betrayer and Storm of Zehir (it may not following the NWN2 template, but it's still a fantastic expansion).
