far cry 1 vs far cry 2

Far Cry without the mutants is better than Far Cry 2. It's a hard decision once mutants enter the picture. Weapons in Far Cry actually do fatal damage, which is probably the deciding point (Good Gunplay vs. Broken Gunplay)Swiftstrike5

when i opend the game box i was amused

1 is better(remmember the days)...

but i have to play darn 2 cuz 1doesent work on win7

i liked 1's story more it was controlling the games scoresat the timeDragon-bag

I am currently playing Far Cry 1 and loving it, but I have read truthhful reviews of far cry 2 and heard it sucks bad, Far cry 3 looks amazing so I think I'll skip 2 and buy 3.

Far Cray - Bland gunplay with sh*t Ai. Pure eye-candy.

Far Cray 2 - Bland gunplay with sh*t Ai, further retrogressive with MMO-akin narrative structure.

Far Cry is one of the best shooters I've ever played. It's huge, tactical and challenging, and the mutants weren't half as bad as some people make them out to be - you just need to be extremely careful around them. They spiced things up royally.

I really don't mind the mutants. Why do so many others? What are the reasons?

Just shows how much superior Crytek is to Ubisoft.

AI in Far Cry 1 was amazing, it seroiusly shocked me that they communicated with other and worked in squads etc.

Exactly. Far Cry 1 was fantastic. 2 had some real cool elements to it, but it got old real fast, and there was at least a few completely assinine design choices. Crytek is way better at making open world shooters than Ubisoft. I've got high hopes for Far Cry 3, cuz it looks sweet, but... so did FC2 before coming out. I wish Crytek had been able to keep the Far Cry property.
