Farcry game crashing

Hi gys pleese can u help!

i borrowed farcry from my friend the other day and i installed it and everytang and i got so excited. I then clicked on it to play it and it went onto the first game square(the picture) and then the f#*@ncomputer just restarted. I dunno wat is wrong with it, all my other games still play!

My pc is a celeron, i have a nvidia geforce 6600 gt, i have 512mb ram and thats all i really know about it. I will try patching it.

Another thing is b4 i installed far cry i installed sim city 4 and it did the same thing. After i tried far cry i installed my other games to see if there was anything wrong with my pc and it didnt restart, i also bought a game called GUN and tried that and it also worked! Thats why i dont Know what is wrong, i triedto patch it and i used v1.32 but it said i needed v1.31. I looked for it but none of the sites had it!

So know i dont know what 2 do pleese suggest somting! THANKS.:cry::evil:
