Farcry or Crysis

Farcry and Crysis are Really similar. obviously, the latter is the spiritual successor to the former. Which do you think is better in terms of gameplay?

Ive talked to alot of people who say farcry. I say Crysis all the way, in just about every way. For me, Crysis blows Farcry and just about all other single player FPS experiences out of the water, when it comes to gameplay. (especially if we are talking about warhead, because its the better game of the two in the series so far)

(The only better sp fps i can think of is the HL series)

Great games really, but both had their moments and is a difficult choice... I would say Crysis, as the mutants were a tad difficult for me

No question, Crysis is a MUCH better game.

Crysis. The eyes of the AI in Far Cry have thermal sights built in plus all the nice forests in Far Cry are strictly eye candy.

Crysis. Far Cry bored me enough to make me stop playing it after a while. Cool game, but it doesn't beat the gameplay of Crysis.Litchie

Beats me why people want multiplayer Crysis. Trying to track someone who is cloaked has got to be a chore unless the maps were made much much smaller. Camping or ambushing players would be great with the nanosuit based on what I've seen with the cloaked KPA in Relic of the original Crysis. That's just me though.

I spent a lot more hours -over 320- in Crysis Wars multyiplayer than in Crysis and Warhead campaigns (130 hours combined). Cloak only matters in Power Struggle mode, in Team Instant Action lacks efficiency.

About the topic: I like more Crysis due has better gameplay -stealth is useless in Far Cry-, weapon customizations and much better multiplayer, buyt I miss the high difficult of Far Cry in "realist" mode and the longer campaign.

I will go with Far Cry tho, Crysis took itself too serious for its cheesy writing, and overall I found FAR cry to have a more satisfying SP campaign.

Far cry playied out like a B movie, with voice acting to match, they knew it was cheesy, and they ran with it ^^

the thing that sets them apart for me (the only thing I even finds worth mentioning, since they are so similar), is the campaign, and length thereoff.

Just fyi, I am the one who voted for Far Cry. 8)

I got Far Cry before Crysis came out. I have to say that Far Cry is one of the worst games i have ever played, and i've played Dinotopia before. The shooting is horrible, the graphics are horrible (even for its time), there is no story, the AI is crazy and it is just an overall bad experience. Crysis, on the other hand, is one of the best games ever made with great gameplay and graphics and sound and AI. Even if the story is a little bit bare at least i can understand what was happening.

I had a lot of fun with Far Cry

but Crysis has some of the best gameplay to ever exist in a shooter, imo. The suit gives you a set of tools that make you far from invincible, but allows you to play the game in any style you like.

There is somethng epic about starting a level on a road, turning on strength mode and jumping up 20 feet to a cliff-top forest, stalking your way through the forest from bush to tree to bush with stealth mode, and encountering a 5-man patrol.

You turn speed mode on, zoom in and snatch the lagging patrol member, then zoom back into forest and knock him out cold. You hear the rest of the squad "gasp!" and then curse and yell in Korean as they split up.

Big mistake. You then turn on stealth mode and, one by one, take out the rest of the patrol using a combination of close-combat and silenced pistol tactics. When the cost is clear, you whip out your binoculars and scout, spotting a radar installation at the top of a hill.

Time to take it out!

This is just one of hundreds, maybe thousands, of encounters in the game.

Far Cry had this to an extent given its decent stealth mechanics, brutal enemy AI, and wonderful environments,but Crysis takes it to the next level

haha thats kinda weird, I thought the exact opposite.

I preferred Crysis for gameplay. It was basically Far Cry except with more options (thanks to the suit).

Why not play it using just armour mode then?

Crysis gives you more freedom in how to handle a certain situation.

thats boring, and not what the developer intended imo

grnated, the dev intended you to play the game how you want to, but ideally you'd take advantage off all the options not just one.

I enjoyed Far Cry as a whole more than Crysis. Crysis is the obvious winner though, because your average GS user probably wasn't playing video games in 04.

If you want to feel immersed, play far cry! get em both far cry is cheap crysis is kinda rigfht in the middle

I disagree, Farcry obviously has teh fah superior next gen graphx...................

To me, Crysis is a superior game in every way, and Crysis warhead is better than both of them.
