I've only played Oblivion, so I'm pretty biased.

oblivion, well morrowind is very slow you got level up all the time to play it, eg attacking a mudcrab and you will miss plenty of times before causing some damage, there is no voice acting or cutscenes so the story is like reading a book, you got to read everythig, you have to travel long distanced by foot and no teleport, it takes ages, there are not many interesting stufff going on and when you get a quest you got to ask a npc for directions, eg go NW then turn right..... Also the combat has no block unless you have a shield and it takes many hits to kill someone plus armors brake in long fights... bascily its 95% rpg and not action rpg, the monsters dont jump at you and attack, they have to get close and then they attack, just like a non action rpg game.[QUOTE="Phoenix534"]I've only played Oblivion, so I'm pretty biased.

Morrowind was so fun with the stupidly overpowered enchantments and spells you could make.
I would make rings and items with enchantments that would break the balance of the game. i could jump across the entire game world, fly around cities shooting massive nuke like fireballs. I would get the boots of blinding speed and then counter the blindness with that one chest piece, run so fast you could cross the world in a few minutes. I had armor that would give me more life than a town full of guards could take away and eventually they would die from just attacking me. In morrowind you could become a god of gods.

just make it look less like oblivion in graphics after 200 hours in oblivion and 80 so far in fallout 3 i get the feeling that first person rpgs are made only by bethesda...damn it really needs an new engine, oblivion was graphics king and now its crysis because bethesda didnt make a new engine....still its good to see hd textures in oblivion engine.dakan45
Yeah. A new engine would be cool. Maybe more variaty in the map and add more towns. Also, more weapons and armor. And a higher level cap.

It's a lot more work to add levels in Fallout though, since you have all of the perks. Imagine how hard it would be to make a lvl 100 level cap with perks?
Yeah now that leveling up DOES matter they decide to cap the level on 2o...facepalm to whoever came up with that idea in bethesda.i want every one to look at oblivion and fallout 3 oblivion not sure how high the level cap is i got to lvl 50 andlost my char. fallout 3 lvl 20 wait i cant lvl up any more crap

acctualy to correct myself 30 is the cap
guardiankitty10
only if you got Broken Steel. But I think I heard somewhere that New Vegas would at least double the original Fallout 3 cap, so at least level 40. I'm not sure if this was confirmed, but I hope so.

What crap is this? Seriously what was bethesda thinking? This whole get dlcs to get more levels remind me of guild wars and its expansions.....[QUOTE="Phoenix534"][QUOTE="guardiankitty10"]

oblivion... morrowind is good too. they should rerelease morrowind with graphics like oblviion.. that would be awesome

You can teleport, dakan. You can teleport from mages guilds. You can also use spells to teleport. You can also use the silt striders to get from city to city.
Without a doubt it's Morrowind.
Oblivion is clearly dumbed down. It suffers from a severe case of consolitis. I would like to see a true sequel to Morrowind, and not Oblivion.
If the next Elder Scrolls falls in line with Oblivions gameplay, I won't be so anxious to get it. I'll get it, but it will be just a sad reminder of the fact that gameplay is losing out to pretty, shiny graphics.

I'd rather have new Elder Scrolls and Fallout games than remakes. I mean, why make a game, make a sequel, then go remake the other one?(And yes, I know there were two other games in the main series) I think they should leave the games the way they are and just incorporate the good things into new experiences.

Morrowind, then Oblivion.
I downloaded Daggerfall when it was released as freeware, but haven't got round to playing it yet.
I have only played Oblivion and Morrowind. Both are great games when played with mods. I haven't tried Arena or Daggerfall, but since I like the ES games I have tried, I'm downloading them right now, thanks to the above posts.
I disagree about Morrowind being a weak game. It's very well done. The political and religious disputes between factions is intricate. It's obvious that a great deal of thought went into this game. I doubt most people have done so...but if you take the time to read many of the in-game books, just how much thought was put into the game will reveal itself.
