Morrowind.

Morrowind, then Oblivion, then Daggerfall, then Arena. To be fair though I haven't played much of either Daggerfall or Arena so my mind could very well change if I were to actually progress past the intro dungeons in either game. It's just really hard for me to do that because A) the games are brutally difficult, and B) the controls are very archaic.
Yeah what this guy said. I think combat is hilarious for some reason, I dont know, its so entertaining and satisfying at the same time.Oblivion, while it's less complex than Morrowind, it had better combat and design IMO.

That looks like it'll be awesome, but not until the quests are implemented. I can see why Bethseda's not happy about it, as they were probably thinking of re-releasing the popular Morrowind with updated graphics at some point for profit, even if they won't admit it.
I've played only Morrowind and Oblivion, and I definitely prefer Morrowind. It feels more open with respect to what you can do, and more deep with respect to the world and the ramifications of your decisions. Oblivion is not a bad game, though, and I don't think it deserves the harsh thrashing it receives from so many of the Morrowind faithful.
