My favorite so far was Xcom. Have played a good 25 hours already.

Are we strictly talking this past summer sale? If so, then it would either be The Walking Dead: 400 Days, To The Moon, or Dealight. If forced to pick between the three, I got to go with Deadlight. But I haven't played any of them yet, so I am just basing it off my hype, not actual gameplay.
Spec Ops sort've sucks as a game but gad dam dat narrative. Worth playing and then some, and it really opens up your eyes about the shooter genre in general. Worth 15$ easily. Tomb Raider, I'm waiting to play until I upgrade to a 770 or 780 at the end of the month, but what I played was pretty nice, and I maxed it at a playable framerate even with the TressFX (gotta love my ole' GTX 480. Best card I've ever owned and it's lasted me for sooooo long).
I got Dishonored for $10 and the knife of dunwall dlc for $2-$3(cant remember). Definitely think this was the best deal I got on the sale.
I wasn't all that impressed by the sales this year otherwise because most of the games I already had and many of them I got cheaper at other places.Â
Deus Ex: HR for $3 was the only thing I bought this sale, and I'm putting a lot of time into it.
For sales I will also include Total War: Rome for $1 and X3: Goldbox for $17 since I bought those recently (one month ago) on sale.
X3: Goldbox comes close but for favorite I will go with Deus Ex: HR. Goldbox is the lengthier game though.
Off the Steam sale so far The Walking Dead 400 Days, and that wasn't actually part of the sale. :P
I haven't played my other Steam sale purchases yet, though I expect Gunpoint to be my favorite. The other games are Portal 2, Knife of Dunwall and Borderlands 2 Season Pass.
Surprisingly, It's Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes. Was just expecting a pretty solid grand strategy game, Didnt think it was some Civ + Fire Emblem + Disciples mish-mash, turns out that's what it was. The interface is kinda sucky though, but it's rich and engaging nonetheless with alot of ways to customize how you approach things.
Dont Starve comes up second. The screenshots dont really sell it, but it's really pretty in motion and it really plays well despite its straightforwardness.
I havent played the rest of what I got, but looking forward to playing Monaco, Reus and The Swapper.
So far I've been playing the crap out off Total War Rome, NBA 2K13 and Dark Souls (have it on PS3 also).
Well I began playing Bioshock (which I already had) as soon as the sale started so I haven't been able to play much of the few games I bought. I played Surgeon Simulator for a few hours and that was fun.
I booted up FTL for a little bit, I just wanted to see what it was like while I was paying attention to something else. I played the tutorial for about 10 minutes and went 'there is way too much happening in this game for me to remember right now!' That game seems kinda complex.
I'd like to play Max Payne 3 as soon as I'm done with Bioshock. But yeah I guess the only answer for your question is Surgeon Simulator.
Rogue Legacy

same here, bought about 30 more games to add to my catalog(backlog) and bought this at the end knowing it would not get a better price, have not even installed other games yet this game has me hooked, so hard but addictive, just one more run through the castle to see if i get enough gold for that next perk or item upgrade.
Well I bought Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate although I've played the base game on my old steam account. Its one of my favorite games of the last several yaers so that I guess.Â
Otherwise Worms Revolution. Been playing with friends the last few evenings, its a ton of fun and absolutely hilarious.Â
