I think we should keep all impressions of the full game of FEAR 2 - released in North American tomorrow - here.

Australian fans will have to wait till the 13th this week. Friday the 13th!

...What are your computer specs. I have a rather crap computer, and I can play it on 16x af all maximum with 4x FSaa at 1280x1024, very smooth and comfortable to play.

I don't think it's any great secret that FEAR 2 is going to be a dissapointment. Still, I'm eager to see what people who've played through the full game have to say.

Oh, god, time to put on yer helmets/chinstraps! FEAR 2 is gonna get flamed way worse than FC 2 ever did. Should be fun to watch.... So let me start, even though I haven't even played the demo. This should cover everything, thus rendering any more posts in this thread moot: 1. Graphics suck 2. Having no lean sucks 3. AI sucks 4. Bullet time sucks 5. Weapons suck 6. Story sucks 7. If you actually PLAY through the game, you would know the story. It's completely different, the best storyline I've ever seen in a game.

Someone please tell me, is this game stuck in wide screen like the demo? I have a CRT monitor, that kicks any LCD by the way :), that screams for 4:3 aspect ratio and I refuse to buy this game if it does not allow for this. This is a shame too as I loved the first game. Oh, by the way Biggestloser, I hated FEAR the first time I played it as well and couldn't understand what all the fanfair was about, but I grew to appreciate it for what it is during subsequent play throughs;it truely is an amazing game. claytoma

It's pretty bleh until now.

The good news is that there's way more dust than in the demo, they must have removed the dust files or something to make the download smaller.

And I think the enemy doesn't see it, I never heard "FLASHLIGHT!!!!!!!!"...

No lean, and making cover is a huge, useless gimmick.

Don't know about the mouse.

What is so wrong with mouse? I liked it in the demo and didn't find anything to complain at. I think the PC version should get couple of points higher score for mouse controls, because with its fluid aiming you feel more connected to the game and with its accuracy you can comfortably manage higher difficulty levels that could make the game even more exciting and realistic.

Game has been criticized for being too ordinary, but I haven't played anything similar(a.i. is most important part for me in this game) and I'm longing to get something similar to the first.

I finished it.

Man, that was dissapointing.

It gradually gets worse towards the end. There's one awful turret section where you're killing 100 dudes, horrible rock music plays (ROCK in FEAR!) and a guy constantly shouts all kinds of bad F-bomb variations.

The story is absolutely craptastic. The dialogue is horrible; it's not bad in the Crysis or Gears it's-so-bad-that-it's-awesome way, it's bad it that way that makes your ears bleed. The characters are amongst the most stupid characters in the history of videogames. The ending is a total lolocaust...

But the graphics are pretty (although some shadows from your flashlight would've been great...), the sound design is mostly spectacular, and the combat is quite exciting - but nowhere near the original.

Frankly, the best thing about the game is Alma. I think she's cute, and I like her voice. But then the lips are enormous:|

5/10, buy TimeShift instead.
