First Thieft 4 screenshot allegedly spotted!

I don't know what to think about the screenshot, but im a huge Thief fan, and I'm very excited about it. So I'm hoping they release more news about it soon. Anyway the link is Here .

3rd person. Ugh. Really? Is that what made Thief 1 and 2 so awesome? Oh, wait. They didn't have 3rd person. Exactly.:roll:

So much for hopes of this game returning to its roots. It sadly is already looking to be more like Deadly Shadows, which I still consider to be a bastardized Thief sequel.

Well, according to someone on RPS (scroll almost to the end for this and a clarification),

Sources near the project (on it, really) say:

There is a light gem.
The 3rd person was a test, it's not the case anymore.
The bow is the animation. He's taking out the bow at that time. He holds it a bit slanted " / ".
The light wasn't properly done in this build, so it's supposed to be dark, that's what the red line says in the top left corner.

There were other screenshots on the Eidos Montreal website, but they pulled them down today. You couldn't see much except that the game was in first person.

I did play through them (I wouldn't really like a 3rd. person perspective but whatever), but judging a game by a single off-screen picture is absurd.

Well, it looks like a guy in a hood using a bow in what appears to be in medieval times. All of those things were true for all the past games, so it makes sense. I can't think of a game that has all of those things, could be just me though....

It's the flags.

Taking a page out of Assassin's Creeds book maybe? MadCat46
