Well recently I got a good joystick that I have been wanting to test it out. I have looked around and there are so many games that is just way to much to try out. So I come to you guys and ask if you have any recommendations.

LOMAC was buggy as hell for me. Still it was not a bad game.

Though it may not be a sim, you'd wannawait for HAWX too. Sim or not, i think it will be awesome.

get Freespace2 Open, it's free... but... doesn't handle the joystick very well.

There's also the X series of games. X: Beyond the Frontier is nearly impossible to find, but X2: The Threat, is great, and X3: The Reunion is awesome, but a little slow to start out with. Then there's Jumpgate, the MMO. I know those are the types of games I play when I feel the need to grab the joystick...

Yes but be aware that modern figher jet sims require you to do some reading and a lot of training to actually take full potential of your aircraft.

IL-2 1946 is really the be all end all of combat flight sims (until the same programmer's version of the Battle of Britain comes out later this year). It also has a thriving multiplayer community so be sure do also get Hyperlobby (which is a matching service for a number of online flight sims).

I'd go with IL-2 1946. It comes with five different games, and it's super cheap. I picked it up new for 20 bucks
