If it's forgotten, how could it be classic?DragonfireXZ95oh yeah, well you get the general idea awesome games that not many people play. example, freedom fighters
I think many of the new gamers miss out on the old adventure games. I know its all glitter and glam nowadays, but the graphics on these game aint that shabby.
1. Day Of The Tentacle, Sam nMax1, Monkey Island 1 2 3
2. Kings Quest 6
3. Legend Of Kyrandia
etc etc
Apart from these, i still sometimesplay old games like Dungeon Keeper, Might and Magic 6, Moonstone, Walker (i think that one was a Amiga exclusive. Awesome anyways, if you have a emulator check it outhttp://www.mobygames.com/game/amiga/walker/screenshots)
Planescape: Torment. The only CRPG I ever finished. Sacrifice. Kind of like Overlord, but released about seven years earlier. Poor Interplay.judaspete
I agree Planescape: Torment was IMO the best RPG ever made and Sacrifice was also very good. There were a lot of other really great games that seem to be forgotten such as Armed & Dangerous.
I'm not in the mood to make a huge list, so here are some from the top of my head :)
Star Wars Rebellion: A far more in depth version of Empire At War, pretty old but still far better then that rip off EAW.
Into The Void: Similair to Galatic Civilizations (at least it seemed so from my short experience of GC2)
Funny thing, both these games were bashed a lot when they came out, but I'll love both of them until I die.
The"hot seat"multiplayer in ITV, the "don't try to sneak a peek at my screen or I'll kill you" multiplayer in Rebellion, ah yes. The glory days. *sigh*
Good call on REDNECK RAMPAGE, any of them someone has to do a mod for the fugly graphics tho - I know there is no chance of them doing that kind of game again these days.
ANACHRONOX - I still fire it up from time to time for sheer balls out fun, again seriously ugly now (and then).
I guess I bust out a classic when I am looking for some fun just thought of
ARMED AND DANGEROUS - bring on the shark gun woot!
Planescape: Torment. The only CRPG I ever finished. Sacrifice. Kind of like Overlord, but released about seven years earlier. Poor Interplay.judaspete
Planescape: Torment is hardly forgotten. Most peoplethat have played it consider it the best RPG ever created (myself included). You can go into countless "best RPG" threads on this board alone and see most people make mention of P:T.
I definitly agree about Sacrifice though. Sadly Enter the Matrix tarnished Shiny's image. They were no longer the company that developed Sacrifice, but rather the company that destroyed the Matrix. Notmany people seem to remember them for Sacrifice which is still in my eyes one of the most innovative RTS games to date.
