The RAM sticks look pretty beastly..but I have to agree with you, 8GB single chips would be news.

Ya, 8GB sticks would be nice, the only 8GB I have seen all have ECC and are registered, so no use for gaming.

It's nice though that you can actually fill up a x58 motherboard with max RAM now. Since all the x58 boards I've seen support 24GB max.
