Anything FPS, Anything WRPG, Anything RTS, or any hybrid of the 3. Sports, Fighting, JRPGs, and other things I don't care about are most likely better on consoles.

All of them

Two words completely disprove that statement: EA Sports
Dont you mean 3? It is not fun being corrected is it? IS IT? jk..jk You can mod those games and make new levels if you new how and had the will. So, I dont think i stand corrected.[QUOTE="Ein-7919"][QUOTE="SgtMoreless"]

As for the modding capabilities, I was always under the impression that ever since the current-gen consoles came out, EA has been shoveling the previous generation (i.e. the PS2) version to us PC gamers. Was I wrong in this belief?
[QUOTE="Bonesdb69"]Disagree, longer load times. for me at least. Hah, they're practically unplayable on console, what with the unfixable bugs and saved game corruption. Just the lack of mod support makes them vastly inferior. Same goes for Fallout 3.Elder Scrolls series

Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear was pretty bad for PS1 Other than that the only games I remember playing on PC and other consoles are Jade Empire, Fable and HL2 - and all three I'd say are par with the PC version.
Edit: Also played PC + XBOX versions of Rainbow Six 3, Morrowind and Halo and Prince of Persia: WW/TT. They were also par.

LOL! I didn't play it myself but I remember a friend complaining about the split screen mode.
Yes Add to this Adventure games and Platformers.Anything FPS, Anything WRPG, Anything RTS, or any hybrid of the 3. Sports, Fighting, JRPGs, and other things I don't care about are most likely better on consoles.

Even if that were true, I'd gladly put up with longer load times for the better performance, controls, graphics, stability, and massive numberof mods on offer in the PC version. The positives outweigh the negatives several times over.
generally every game is better on the PC. In particular games that require any precision aiming, like FPS, RTS.. etc.
Generally speaking games are graphically superior on the PC (so long as your PC can handle it of course), plus they tend to have better framerates in large areas (oblivion for example). But of course with the broadband variable online play is just as much about your connect as the beast at your desk.
Recent (well last 5 years) games that were WAY better on the PC include, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Mass Effect, Fallout 3, Half Life 2, Left 4 Dead. As someone said earlier, the only games that really stand out as being obviously better on the console are sports games (specifically EA's), and that is a fairly recent development, and sadly caused more by EA's accounting department then the developers. I would say that the gap is shrinking a tiny bit every year, although I think that will stop eventually and there will be a fairly stable gap between game performance.
I guess in the end it depends on your own preferences too, some games I like better on the 360 (mainly due to live), some I like better on the PC.
FPS, RTS, MMO, ect are all better on PC with the exception of racing games, unless you have a gamepad.
I actually bought Fallout 3 for the 360 last fall, because my old PC was on its last legs, and that console title looked amazing on my 360. The PC version is sharper - but honestly, not by much. I would say the same thing about Mass Effect - better on the PC, absolutely, but not by much.
