For some reason i cant get any games i buy to run good. my pc is 4 months old (DELL) intel core quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHZ 3 Gig ram windows vista home 32bit and a ati radion PCix 128meg HD 2400.I have all the latest updates for my vid card and PC i also run ad-aware to clean all the junk off my pc.And yet all my games get trash FPS i cant even run half life 2 on high settings.What could be making my pc so slow is it the vid card do i need an upgrade?

yes it is your graphics card it is honestly really awful for gaming

yeah the problem is your video card, it's garbage to be honest. It's easy to upgrade though, I would suggest an ATI HD4850, judging by the specs of that system, it should have an adequate PSU.

yea get the 4850, really really nice card and great upgrade for you computer, what would you be willing to spend on a gpu

With that amount of money available to be spent, you're good to go. The HD 4850 is selling for around 150 after rebate on Newegg right now.
