Games that everybody loves, besides you!

There are lots of games out there that everyone loves but there is always few of us that cant stand that game

for me it has to Gran Turismo... I am a racing fan.. but this game just feels like a chor... honestly, the game is more frustration than fun

Everybody loves System Shock 2, and the SS 2 demo won't even start on my P.C ( XP 0/S).

For this i'm unable to play the game .

check out http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69958 - it has a ton of fixes for many problems, but one of the most common ones for gamers i think is that you have to disable a cpu core if you have a dual core cpu (start game / ctrl alt del -> task manager / processes tab -> rjght click system shock 2 -> set affinity / disable 0 or 1 (this only affects the selected program, and only during that particular instance of use, so you have to do it every time)

seriously though, you should totally spend hours and hours trying to make it work, it's damn worth it - i run it in xp just fine.... it took a lot of work to get there, but system shock 2 is one of the best games, if not the best ever made - it's well worth it

they're both highly praised games, and i do acknowlegde them as good/great - i just can't stand them

I've a core 2 duo and i disabled one core while playing the demo SS 2 , it still crashed.Maybe it'll work with the full version ... IMO. 

But thnks , SS 2 is very cheap now , so i may get the full and start experimenting  with the game with feedback u gave and reading guidelines from the ttlg forums.

i think FFVII deserved every single bit of credit and hype it had. Can you tell me exactly guys what you didnt like in FFVII? I honestly think its the best FF and RPG ever created, and is up top on par with Loz:oot in my top games of all time.greatmax1

got great reviews but I just didn't like it

While they were good, they were nothing special. And yes, when people played goldeneye, very few people had managed a LAN FPS game with 4 people. And yes, Halo, while having a great story, as a game was nothing special. You have to remember that especially at those times, console critics and PC critics keep to their own camps. Less so in the Halo era. They're also comparing the games to other CONSOLE offerings, not the overall picture

Sure, by the end of the day, it's simply all about going around and killing bad guys, but so what? That's what shooters are all about. It simply expands upon the classic style of shooters rather than create a new shooter/rpg or shooter/puzzle hybrid or w/e like some other shooters. I can see why many PC gamers hate Halo because nowadays all you hear is Halo this and Halo and a lot of other great games are not getting the attention they deserve. But still, give Halo a break and look at the many things it does right, instead of looking at the features it doesn't have, you'll realize that it's a much better game than you might've thought.

Halo 2, i cannot stand that game at all.

Fear, Warcraft 3, Far Cry, Morrowind... all for the same reason, bored me to tears...
