Games you are waiting for that are never talked about?

I don't know about you guys but it seems every one is going crazy over the supposed blockbuster games.. I am excited about some of them as well, but it seems rediculous on how some of the smaller games are being completely forgotten or never mentioned.. Some of our greatest series started as sleeper hits, the kind of titles we hardly hear about...

So I was curious what lesser known titles are you waiting for?

I am waiting for Alien Swarm Infestation myself, a birds eye view shooter that made its debute and won tons of awards on UT 2004 as a free mod.. Now the second is being made on the source engine as a commercial game. Now this game was very fun that required alot of strategy, cooperation for yoru team mates, and trial and error.. It was one of the harder games I have ever played.

I'm really waiting for Metal Gear Solid 4 and it seems that nobody ever talks about it on this forum :P

Seriously though, Alan Wake doesn't seem to have too much hype, although that might just be because there arent that many details out about it yet.

Ehm, Jedi Outcast was Dark forces 3 (and was the best one by far) and I don't think there will be a fourth- it pretty much ended the series.

Alan Wake and Left 4 Dead. I'm sure they receive some press time, I'm just not seeing it.MythPro1

Yeah Left 4 Dead and NAtrual Selection 2 are two games I have been keeping an eye out for.. The Witcher is one I am hopeing for, but I have honestly not been very hyped with any games as of late..

Yeah I loved that game too, and the addon Secrets of the Sith.. That expansion had one of my favorite levels of all time in any game..

There are some european studios working on some decent games, The Witcher probably being the most popular, next to JA 3, and hellgate. Games like Tarr chronicles, and drakensang look like they might be promising. Most of the innovation is taking place outside the US anymore.

Personally, even though there was only an announcement that Lucasarts did intend to come back to the Star Wars Universe for another MMO and that Lucasarts and ONLY Lucasarts would be making and running it *Flips SOE the bird*. I am waiting for that next Star Wars MMO.

I'm looking forward to Frozen Bytes next game called Shadowgrounds: Survivor.

I'm looking forward to Jagged Alliance 3 also. Even more so since they claim some original Sir-tech employees are helping them make it.

Most Will Wright games are a lot more fun than they sound (Simcity, Sims) as well as just being excellent games.

Spore sounds really fun though. So I'm excited!

Well there is a reason why NWN2 expansion isn't talked about.. The main was a HUGE disapointment for alot of fans, not only is it one of the biggest graphic hogs out there with hugely subpar visuals for what it needs to run, but it had immense bugs.. The single player was very very very linear to the point where there was no replay value.. lets not foget the brain dead AI for both enemies and allies alike (where the game cheats to try to make it harder for you), the game easy at best.. These guys were suppose to be the core that made Baldur's Gate 2...... A very difficult RPG in its own right...

But chances of that ever happening are slim to none... :cry:

Especially since Bullfrog aka Lionhead don't own the rights to it probably anymore... and its likely in EA's dirty hands now, are EA are trashbags.

Red Fraction 3, if its comming to the PC. Also looking forward to Gears of War for the pc (suprised that not too many people are talking about that)

I know that. I also hated the ending but nevertheless i'm hoping the expansion would fix things. I still had fun playing it. Anyway i'm anticipating the witcher the most. I don't like open-ended RPGs like Oblivion. I like RPGs that have great storyline and plot. NWN2's story was great but the ending really sucked hard.
