I think Dreamfall: The Longest Journey told an epic story.

A Oldy that gets looked over but in essence is the Father of the Real Time tower Defense/ Castle Defense strategy game ... "Dominus"

Abe's first two games and Commandos (the first one with expansion.)

Outlaws. Redneck Rampage. Duke Nukem 1+2 (Duke Nukem 3D is a obvious classic) Atleast as far as First Person Shooters go.Treflis

Wizardy 8. Great old-school RPG released when more modern RPGs were coming out.

The Temple of Elemental Evil. It's a great game (patched and restored) and it has possibly the best combat and definitely the best implementation of the D&D rule-set in any RPG. It's a shame they don't make RPGs like that anymore.

The Legend of Kyrandia series. All 3 games we're fun as hell but the 3rd one is my fav.

The first games I thought of were Anachronox and the Broken Sword series.

Jazz Jackrabbit 1 & 2, hands down the best 2D platformers I've ever played on PC, and among the best overall.
