Dear Forum members,

I Big Bob Pataki need to upgrade my beeper for a new Gaming Headset. I have narrowed my decision to the sennheiser pc36d or the Asus Strix 7.1 gaming headset. Both headsets are about $200 on amazon. What should I get and why? If it helps the headset I am replacing is the astro a50's.

I have heard great things about Sennheiser and there reputation. I myself am waiting for the Tritton Katana's because they are wireless and since im on the xbox one i will use hdmi (7.1) rather than optical audio cable (5.1). But between the two you listed i would go with Sennheiser for sure

I heard the Astro A50 is one of the best- why replacing those?

Anyway for your question - the answer is kinda simple but then again not sure need to view some reviews, the Senhnheiser no doubt will bring great quality of sound, their gaming one headset is probably the best you can get; on the STRIX side - they advertise "true" surround sound just like Razer Tiamat did and failed big time, this could be it finally - again not sure got to view some reviews to answer that.

Buy a pair of Sennheisers or AKGs around that price and then get an on-line mic.
