Gaming Rituals

i was just wondering wat are the little things that other gamers do when they know that they are going to be spending some time gaming (MMO,RPG,FPS,etc.) so they dont have to stop in the middle or take a break.

I dont know why but i always put my phone on vibrate(because i dont want to be interrupted) and always have a bottle of water at hand. Im looking to see if somebody does something kinda funny. So let me know!

I used to turn the volume off of my Super NES and Sega Genesis games when I couldn't beat a boss. Somehow I always beat 'em after doing this. It sorta stuck with me and carried over to PC games.

My brother used to make me leave the room when he couldn't beat a boss. I used to get so pissed but now I look back at it and laugh because he usually beat them and we'd be so happy.

I clean up my room, turn off the lights. get some water.

finish any assignments or homework that i have to do before hand.

I can't be tired either, i won't bother playing if i'm sleepy.

lay down get comfortable, put the sound at a decent level. and.... go.

bathroom>drink>make a playlist in WMP if I'm playing something like WOW

i have a hat that i have to wear in order to play.

i usually i just scream until my face is all red and my eyes are about to pop out, smack my head to my keyboard twice, do the chicken dance and i'm all set.

or then i just take a cup of coffee. depends on a day.

I restart the computer to make sure it won't freeze, and while it's rebooting I crank out push-ups from the opening blackscreen to the login. While the game is loading up I go get myself a glass of water or pee. Then I hook up my headphones and am good to go :P

I personally don't have any rituals, but a friend of mine has an actual WW2 marines helmet that he'd wear whenever he played age of empires or civilization. The true armchair general :)

On WoW raiding nights I grab a couple of beers and a pack of smokes :P Well actually thats mostly true for any game I play :D

Well, I make sure that my phone is on my desk to that I don't have to get up if it rings. I also make sure to stock up on drinks & food...

I guess sitting in my underwear to game is a ritual. I am comfortable in my underwear.
