I got my 8800GT today. It's a real nice piece of hardware. Mine runs pretty cool, too, under 50 idle and under 60 load. I expected 70s and 80s under load. I can hear the fan, but it's no louder than my x1900gt, and it runs cooler and powers oblivion much better. gl man.

I was done with my growing up years ago, and I'm sure in another 10 years I still won't be interested in what someone on the internet just ate for breakfast or just bought for his PC.

You still don't need to be rude, or is that a prerequisite to be taken seriously on these boards?[QUOTE="Sandro909"]No offence, but I think I speak for everyone here when I say, who cares? This is why blogs exist.nmaharg
You're an a hole.
I care, congrats man. It's a great card, have fun.
Thanks man, just got home, going to install it!
Thought i would post my question here rather than starting a new topic.
Right, i wanna get an 8800GT at some point. But wanted to know if it needs a seperate power-connector? If so, what type of connection does it use from the PSU?
dbowman
Hey, look on the manufacturer's site for more info. My Evga one said on the site that it needs a 400W powersupply with 22 amps on a 12 volt rail. Also, your power supply needs at least one PCI 6pin connector (to power your video card).
Yes it needsa one 6-pin PCI-Express connector. Make sure you have at least a 400 Watt power supply.Thought i would post my question here rather than starting a new topic.

Then why do you post on forums, especially the PC hardware forum, if you don't care about what people on the internet just bought for their PC? Apparently you still have more growing up to do than you know, child. Don't post or read the messages if you don't care. Being civil is part of integrating into adult society. Perhaps you'll understand one day.

I clicked on this thread because I thought there would be hardware discussion. Now I'm just wasting my time replying to questions :\

QFT again. All you're doing is proving just how immature you are. Shoo!

You don't need to post then. If you see a topic that says "I ate this for breakfast," don't click on it.

I don't. But this one said 8800GT...nevermind. If you're gonna **** about my answers, then don't quote my posts asking questions like "why do you post." I clicked on this thread, saw that it was a dud, and gave it a piece of my mind.

And again you didn't have to be rude. Have you heard the saying "if you have nothing nice to say then don't say it all"? It's okay to be civil or is that asking too much from you?[QUOTE="F1_2004"][QUOTE="Swiftstrike5"][QUOTE="F1_2004"][QUOTE="karasill"]Some of you guys here are being complete D***'s. It's okay to be civil or is that asking too much from you?Oh will you just quiet down and let it go. I wasn't even being rude at the poster directly, just commenting on what some guy said about blogs. You decided to bite onto the topic and extend it by pages with lectures on forum etiquette.
