[QUOTE="RobboElRobbo"][QUOTE="NamelessPlayer"]I have to ask three questions before making any recommendations: -Do you plan to be taking notes on it? -Do you want to go totally paperless? -Do you mind buying used from eBay and the like?NamelessPlayer
-Yes
-Well, not for math obviously
-I don't mind, but buying a used computer kinda makes me nervous
I'm a long time Alienware hater but I'm really intrigued by the M11x, lol. Looks like you can get em used on ebay for around 700-800 dollars. From what I've read, this laptop is exactly what I'm looking for. Good idea? No?
If you're planning on doing some light gaming, it would be a decent choice judging from what I've seen of people using them. However, I could've sworn they were more in the $500-600 range... As for math, the kind of systems I follow up on could be used for jotting down all those formulas and graphs and such, and they'd only cost $600 or less used, maybe more if you want a better model. Great battery life, too...but the only drawback is that they ALL use an Intel GMA of some sort. Only way around that is an external GPU that uses the ExpressCard slot; kind of complicated and needs AC power. Are you talking about a tablet or something?
This is the M11x I found btw
