Both cards from 7300 series are the worst possible cards in Nvidia 7 series. These cards arent meant for gaming. Get 7600GT at least. If you can go for something higher go fro 8600GT if you want DX10 or go for 7900GS or something similar from ATi. They should run most of new games great. But dont get 7300 if you will play games. At least 7600GT for gaming.

LE has one meaning: "Lousy Edition". To compare two cards from the same company and generation, go to GPU Review and choose the "Compare" option.

www.gpureview.com

The 7600 GT held the top spot when you used a "Dollars for FPS" comparison (Bang for the Buck) for many months, and the real standing of the 8600 GTS vs. the 7600 GT isn't fully clear at this point.

If you're going for the 7600 gt might as well spend like $20 extra on the 7900 gs. I got mine on newegg for $130 and then a $20 rebate on top of that. It seems EVGA is great with rebates I recieved my mobo and video card one before NZXT even started processing the other rebate.......

My 7900 GS maxes out all the games I play (HL2, HL2 episode 1, CSS, Dark Messiah) with excellent frame rates. My res is 1440 X 900 BTW.

The 7600 GS is not on point. The poor quality of various 7300 cards and the relative value of the 7600 GT were the question; the 7900 GS was one step away from being topical. But your comment amounts to two steps without moving the topic forward.

Yes, it was stepping two steps forwards, but I'll have you look at this.

$49 7300 gs (pice of crap for gaming)

$100 7600 gt w/ 15$ rebate that evga can be trusted with giving you

$125 7900 gs w/ $20 rebate, along with that I can run every game out right now at max settings on my 22" widescreen w/o AA or AF. With the exception of supreme commander, which I run at mid/high.

Tom's Hardware has a VGA chart that allows you to choose Oblivion benchmarks of two types. See how many FPS they show there on both of those for your shopping list of cards. 20 FPS outdoors in Oblivion is about the lower limit of playability (no, today I'm not here using the broadband, so I didn't do your THG check for you).

I upgraded from a mildly overclocked 6600TD to a 7600GS, there was about a 5fps difference.

then from a 7600GS to a 8600GT and it was about 3 times as fast. my fear fps went from 30fps to 90fps.
